Central Coast Mayor's Niece Arrested in Pot Grow Bust

MARINA, Calif - Marina Police arrested the niece of a Central Coast mayor after a pot bust Thursday night.

According to Marina Police, officers served a search warrant at the home of Natalie and Marcelo Rola on the 300 block of Quebrada del Mar, west of Crescent Avenue just after 8:00 p.m. Thursday night.

Natalie Roja is the niece of Pacific Grove Mayor Carmelita Garcia.

Marina Police  discovered approximately 100 maturing marijuana plants and a substantial drying operation in the garage of the residence.  

 This is the third similar discovery of marijuana cultivation within the same residential community known as Monterey Bay Estates within the past several years.  

The Marina Police asked that anyone possessing credible information and suspect the illegal cultivation of marijuana or the manufacturing of illicit drugs within their neighborhood communities to please contact the Marina Police Department at (831) 884-1210 or by utilizing the Department's website at www.marinapolice.com
