Body Found Hanging Near Train Tracks

WATSONVILLE, Calif - A body of a 54-year-old man was found hanging from a train trestle near Pajaro Friday morning.

According to the Monterey County Sheriff's Office, someone found the body of 54-year old Francisco Javier Flores Mendoza suspended from the Union Pacific train trestle that spans the Pajaro River, between Pajaro and Watsonville around 9:55 a.m.

The Sheriff's department has not ruled the cause of death as a homicide or suicide.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
