SALINAS, Calif- - The annual Kiddie Kapers and Colmo del Rodeo Parades will be hear Saturday night to help kick of Big Week.
The Old Town Salinas event will take place on Saturday July 14, running from Acacia and Main Street all the way to the Steinbeck Center on 1 Main Street. The Kiddie Kapers Parade will start at 6:30 pm and the Colmo Parade will start at 8 pm.
The community event is free for the whole family and about 20,000 people are expected to attend.
This year the Colmo Parade received more entries than last year and it is expected to have a great turn out for the event.
The California Rodeo Salinas will take place on July 19-22, 2012.
The Colmo del Rodeo Parade and California Rodeo Association hope to continue this event next year for 2013 by asking the public for support. Local businesses are helping by selling paper hats that the public can purchase. Donations can also be made at www.carodeo.com or during the either of the parades. |
