Marina, Calif. - Police in Marina arrested two suspects Thursday for operating a marijuana grow house out of their residence in a residential neighborhood.
This happened on the 300 block of Quebrada del Mar, west of Crescent Avenue at around 8:00pm.
Officers served a search warrant at the residence, after acting on a credible source identifying the location as a suspected marijuana "grow house."
Police say they discovered approximately one hundred maturing marijuana plants, and a substantial drying operation in the garage of the residence.
Officers arrested a male and female residing at the residence. They were booked into the Monterey County Jail on suspicion of cultivating and distributing marijuana for sale.
Marina Police say this is the third similar discovery of marijuana cultivation within the same residential community known as Monterey Bay Estates within the past several years.
Police are asking anyone possessing credible information, or who suspects the illegal cultivation or manufacturing of marijuana or illicit drugs, to contact the Marina Police Department at (831) 884-1210.
