SANTA CRUZ, Calif- Crews rescued a driver Wednesday after the person crashed their car into a tree on Bay Drive at Meder Street, said the Santa Cruz Fire Department.
Upon arrival crews found the driver unconscious in the car, after what looked like a head on collision with a tree.
There was significant damage to the car and the victim "was presenting with life threatening injuries," wrote the fire department in a news release.
The victim was flown out to the Stanford Hospital trauma center. Santa Cruz Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
