Down to Earth: Ways to Drive Green

It's summer--and that means travel season is well underway.

If you spend time putting more miles on your car, you will also need to spend some cash on maintenance. 

There are some easy ways to go green while doing it.

Used motor oil never wears out, it just gets dirty. Many service shops will collect used motor oil. And that includes oil filters. They can be recycled.

And contrary to popular belief, some cars don't need an oil change every 3,000 miles, or every 3 months. 

There are 3,200 Certified Collection Centers throughout the state to deposit oil at no cost. You may even get paid cash to recycle the oil.
