CARMEL, Calif. - Police K-9 made appearances all across the state Saturday morning. The idea was to fundraise for supplies to help enhance protection for these officers.
The idea comes after two police dogs were shot in Northern California just a few months ago.
People gathered to see these dogs in action at Pet Foods Express stores. The group is raising money for bullet proof vests, heat alarms and medical kits for their dogs.
People were able to raise money by giving their dogs baths and donating at the counter.
Last year more than $80,000 was raised, this year their goal is to reach $100,000.
