MONTEREY, Calif. -- Police Arrest Residential Burglars in Monterey. Police arrested two people in connection with two residential burglaries in Monterey. Nick John Anton, 47, and Vicki Hawkes, 50, of Monterey were taken into custody for burglaries reported on June 26th on the 400 block of Cedar and June 30th in the 1100 block of Roosevelt.
Both homes were vacant, the owners had been away for several days. Both suspects were arrested on Monday at two separate traffic stops.
On July 2, 2012, Nick John Anton, a 47 year old male from Monterey and Vicki Hawkes, a 50 year old female from Monterey were arrested for a pair of recent residential burglaries. The first burglary was reported on June 26, 2012 in the 400 block of Cedar. The second burglary was reported on June 30, 2012 in the 1100 block of Roosevelt. In both cases, the residents had been way from home for several days.
Police recovered numerous stolen items from the two burglaries. Both suspects face charges for burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy. Anton also faces additional charges for being a felon in possession of a firearm and not being the registered owner of a firearm.
The pair was booked into the Monterey County Jail.
