Teen Wounded in Seaside Shooting, Police Looking for Suspect

Seaside, Calif. - Police are searching for the suspect who shot and wounded a 16-year old male just before midnight on Thursday.

This happened in the area of Phoenix Avenue and Fremont Blvd.

Seaside Police say officers arrived in the area and found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound to his thigh.

Officers say he was transported to a local area hospital and is expected to recover from his injury.

Police describe the suspect as a light skinned Hispanic male in his early twenties. They say he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a black beanie cap.

Police say they believe the shooting is gang-related.
