PACIFIC GROVE, Calif.- If you're ready for more bluegrass music to fill the air on the Monterey Peninsula, you're in luck.
Acoustic guitar legend David Grier of Nashville, with Special Guest Bill Ingram and Monterey Bay's favorite bluegrass-quartet Microtonic Harmonic, will provide an evening of live bluegrass music at the Pacific Grove Art Center on June 30th.@
The event will include both local and national musicians for an "Evening of Bluegrass."
Grier has been awarded three-times by the International Bluegrass Music Association as Guitar Player of The Year, while Acoustic Guitar Magazine awarded him in 2000 as one of the Artists of the Decade. Grier has played on four Grammy Award-winning albums, True Life Blues- A Tribute to Bill Monroe, The Great Dobro Sessions, Alison Brown's Fairweather, and Amazing Grace 2 – A Country Salute to Gospel. David is also listed in the book 1,000 Great Guitarists.
The music begins at 7:00pm with opening act Microtonic Harmonic, with Grier then taking the stage.
