Santa Cruz, Calif. - A fire ripped through a home in Santa Cruz early Friday morning, spreading to a nearby structure.
The fire happened in a neighborhood, at the intersection of Chilverton and Poplar Street.
Santa Cruz County Fire said the blaze was a second alarm fire, but there were no reports of any injuries.
Witnesses say there were about a dozen fire engines on scene, and that it looked like the fire may have started in a garage.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
