SANTA CRUZ, Calif- One lane of Northbound Highway 1 was shut down this morning as CHP investigated a fatal accident.

According to the CHP website, a pedestrian was seen lying in the middle of northbound Highway 1 between Bay and Park. They believe that the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.
