Deputies Arrest Man Who Escaped from Santa Cruz Jail

SANTA CRUZ, Calif- Deputies have arrested the inmate who walked out of the intake area of the Santa Cruz County Jail Monday afternoon. Craig Souza turned himself in Tuesday afternoon.

Souza criminal history includes non violent drug offenses and theft. He has been booked at the Santa Cruz County Jail 21 times.

Craig Souza is described as a white male, 34 years old, brown hair, green eyes, 5-10, 170 lbs., last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black pants, white shoes and a gray baseball cap. If you have information on Souza's whereabouts or have seen him, call the non-emergency line at 831-471-1121 or 911.
