Luau for Sierra LaMar

Posted: Updated:

SEASIDE, Calif.-- Luau for Sierra LaMar. Volunteer searches add up to be very costly so dancers held a luau to raise money for the Sierra LaMar fund.

The luau was held at the Embassy Suites in Seaside. There were several dance groups performing different traditional Hawaiian dances. Dozens of people showed up to show support for the family and raise awareness about the missing teen.

Sierra LaMar's father, Steve says a variety of organizations have stepped up to help raise money for Sierra. "It's really been great to see all this support and people just have their own idea you know and they run it by us and we say yea that would be great," said LaMar.

Part of the money donated from the charity event will go towards the reward to find Sierra LaMa or to anyone with information leading to the prosecution of the person who took her.
