Someone Stole Instruments, Equipment From Led Zepplin Cover Band Performing in Gilroy

MORGAN HILL, Calif - Morgan Hill Police are looking for whoever stole the instruments and equipment of a band Sunday morning.

According to Morgan Hill Police, around 9:30 a.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to an auto burglary in the parking lot of the Microtel Inn and Suites on Condit Road.  Members of the Led Zepplin Cover Band named Led Zepagain reported  their van was broken into during the night and all of their musical instruments were stolen.

The Los Angeles based band was in town for shows in Gilroy and Redwood City on Friday and Saturday nights.  After their show in Redwood City they drove to Morgan Hill and rented a room at the Microtel Inn and Suites to sleep before making the drive back to Los Angeles.

Around 7:30am, they walked out to their vehicle and immediately noticed everything missing. They victims reported drums, guitars, amplifiers, microphones, and cables stolen.

Officers are not sure how the suspects broke into the car because there were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle. Officers believe the  burglary was pre-planned due to the number of items stolen and their size. It is also believed that the victim's vehicle was possibly followed from one of their previous locations.

The Morgan Hill Police Department reminds you to not leave valuables in your vehicle whether locked or not. If a suspect can see something of value in your vehicle and they want it, they will use whatever means necessary to enter your vehicle, including damaging locks, breaking windows or cutting convertible tops. Park in a well lit areas, ask your hotel if they have surveillance cameras, and if they are recorded. @
