PLEASANTON, Calif. (KTVU) — Police have released a sketch of a woman whose body was found in a trash can in Pleasanton last month in an attempt to determine her identity.
Officers found the body inside a trash can on May 24 at around 11:30 a.m. in the 11000 block of Dublin Canyon Road, police said.
An autopsy has been completed but the Alameda County coroner's bureau was unable to determine the woman's identity, the exact time or cause of death, police said.
The discovery of the body prompted speculation that the remains could be those of missing teenager Sierra Lamar. However authorities say this victim is in her mid-20's to early-40's, is either Asian or Hispanic,
She had no tattoos or distinctive markings and was wearing blue polish on her nails, red polish on her toenails and had three earrings in each ear, according to police.
She was wearing pajama bottoms and an Old Navy shirt when found.
The woman was 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighed about 130 pounds and had shoulder-length dark hair.
