SALINAS, Calif- Police say they have arrested a woman bank robber after surveillance photos were aired on Manhunt Monday.
Police believe that Rose Tabios is responsible for a robberies from October 2011 through January 2012.
Based on the evidence recovered at her residence, as well as the interview conducted with her, Tabios was arrested Thursday and booked into the Monterey County Jail.
Detectives believe Tabios is responsible for the following crimes:
- 10/31 – Robbery at PG&E where a female suspect provided a note and demanded money. She left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
- 12/2 – Attempted Robbery at Alco Water, where a female suspect gave a note to the employee, demanding money. She left the scene without taking money.
- 1/27 – Attempted Robbery at Chase Bank on E. Alisal St. where a female suspect gave the teller a note demanding money. She left without taking any money.
- 1/28 – Robbery at Rabobank on Davis Rd., where a female suspect gave a note to the teller demanding money. She fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
In an effort to help locate bank robbery suspects they are often given catchy names to help people remember their picture. Central Coast News Facebook fans dubbed this bank robbery suspect "The Dark Wing Duchess" bank robber. Police say they received several anonymous tips after Central Coast News aired the story on Manhunt Monday in February.
