Salinas Manhunt Monday Suspect Arrested After Hiding in Texas for Several Months

Posted: Updated:

SALINAS, Calif- Nathan Burgos was featured on Manhunt Monday in May of 2011. Police say that he stole merchandise from the Rite-Aid store on Wiliams Road and then he punched the security personnel.

Almost a year after he appeared on Manhunt Monday Burgo was arrested when a police officer saw him drinking beer in front of a house on Williams Road.

Burgos ran inside the house when officers showed up, said police. Officers set up a perimeter around the house but Burgos was no longer inside.

Ultimately Burgos was found hiding in the next-door neighbor's backyard. He was arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail for the robbery charge.

When asked where he had been for the last year, he said that he went to Texas where he hid for several months because he had been featured on Manhunt Monday, said police.
