Monterey County Child Sex Predator Sweep

Monterey County, Calif.- Ten agencies conducted a child sexual predator sweep in Salinas, North Monterey County, and the Monterey Peninsula. 70 parole and probation searches were conducted on registered sex offenders.

David Ramsey, Ysidro Neria, and Rudy De La Garza were arrested for parole violations. Jesus Gonzalez was arrested for probation violations and John Nicholls was arrested for outstanding traffic warrants.

Gary Silva was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and parole violation but records indicate that he is not a registered sex offender.

Here's the list of agencies involved: Monterey County Sheriff's Dept, Santa Clara County Sheriff's Dept, San Benito County Sheriff's Dept, Contra Costa County Sheriff's Dept, Solano County Sheriff's Dept, Monterey County Probation Dept, California Dept of Corrections & Rehabilitation (Parole), U.S. Marshals Service, Department of Homeland Security, and Region II Child Sexual Predator Task Force.
