Crime Lab Results for Evidence in Search for Sierra LaMar May Provide Investigators with Information

Posted: Updated:

MORGAN HILL, Calif. -- Santa Clara County Sheriff's Deputies have announced they have received crime lab results from evidence items gathered in the search for Sierra LaMar.

Sgt. Jose Cardoza, spokesperson for the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department, did not specify what items the Sheriff's Department are speaking of but did say that the results they have received are providing investigators with additional leads to follow up.

On March 29th, volunteers for the KlassKids Foundation discovered a box labeled 'handcuffs' and some used condoms in an area near the dead end of Palm Avenue.

That location is less than a mile away from where Sierra LaMar was last seen on March 16th.

The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department will not say if the box and condoms are what produced the results investigators are now working on or if they are linked to the Sierra LaMar disappearance.

Meanwhile, the LaMar family is holding a prayer vigil Monday night to mark the one month anniversary of Sierra's disappearance.

The event is happening at Burnett Elementary School on 85 Tilton Road in Morgan Hill at 6:30 p.m.
