Man Stabbed Outside Popular Hollister Bar

HOLLISTER, Calif - Hollister Police are looking for a suspect who stabbed another man at Johnny's Bar Saturday morning.

According to Hollister Police, around 2:00 a.m. officers were dispatched to the Hazel Hawkins Hospital emergency room for a patient being treated for multiple stab wounds. The 24-year-old man said he had been stabbed outside of Johnny's Bar.

The victim told police he had been in a verbal altercation, earlier in the evening, with a man at the Whiskey Creek Saloon at  201 5th Street. The victim decided to leave and walk to Johnny's Bar at  526 San Benito Street. Around 1:00 am, the victim decided to leave Johnny's Bar and walked into the 300 block of Wentz Alley. He was confronted by the same man  from the earlier argument at Whiskey Creek who began to fight him in an alley.

When the fight was over, the victim began to walk away. According to the victim, the suspect then attacked him from behind, slashing the victim on the back of his head and back with an unknown type of edged weapon and then ran away.

The victim was able to get a ride from a friend to the hospital. The victim claimed not to know his attacke and no witnesses have been located or identified.
