Morgan Hill, Calif-- Used condoms and a box labeled "handcuffs" are some of the new findings on Thursday night in the search for Sierra LaMar, the missing teen from Morgan Hill who vanished 13 days ago on her way to school.
That evidence is now heading to a crime lab to see if it could be related to the 15-year-old's disappearance.
Klaas Kids volunteers found the two used condoms and a box labeled "Stainless Steel Handcuffs" at a dead end on Palm Avenue, less than a mile away from where the Morgan Hill teen was last seen 13 days ago.
No hand cuffs were actually inside the box.
Now the community sits on pins and needles wondering if the evidence is connected to LaMar.
"Disturbing because we have a young daughter also and something so close to home," said Gary Bettcher, who lives near the area where the condoms were found.
Search and Rescue teams have covered that same area before.
Investigators are not sure if the items were recently put there or have been there for some time.
