SALINAS, Calif. - Salinas Police arrested two known gang members on gun charges Monday afternoon.

Officers from Salinas Police Department's Violence Suppression Unit arrested Edgar Gomar,20, and Christopher Ruiz, 21, in front of a home on Julia Avenue. Officers found three handguns, one of them stolen in a vehicle and the home.

According to Salinas Police, Gomar and Ruiz are both gang members and admitted to possession of the guns.

They were booked into county jail on numerous gun and gang charges.
