SALINAS, Calif - Salinas Police are looking for whoever shot a man walking down North Sanborn Thursday night.
According to Salinas Police, the victim, a 20 year-old male with known gang associations, showed up at a local hospital with a non-life threatening gun shot would to the upper leg.
The victim told police he was walking alone down North Sanborn near Antigua Avenue around 6:30 p.m. when a dark blue Chevy Trailblazer style SUV pulled up and a passenger fired at him several times. Two large caliber bullet casings were later found at the above location.
The victim was able to run to a friend's house on about half block away and they drove him to to the hospital.
The suspect vehicle was last seen speeding away from the area onto Antigua from N. Sanborn Rd.
The Salinas Police Department is asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident to please call the department or the crime tip lines with the information.
