Family of 5 Shot at in Salinas

SALINAS, Calif - Salinas Police are looking for a suspect who shot at a family of five Friday night.

According to Salinas Police, around 7:15 p.m. the driver, a 39-year-old man, noticed a blue Honda sedan had been following his vehicle for several blocks, so he stopped at a parking lot on the 1000 block of Sieber Street.

The Honda drove past and the right rear passenger of the Honda fired at him three times. The bullets struck his vehicle on the lower driver's side door and one through his vehicle window.  He escaped injury and no other persons were injured. 

The shooter is described as wearing a dark hoodie with a blue bandana covering his face. The Honda was occupied by possibly four peeople, and was a newer model with tinted windows.  

The exact motive for the shooting is unknown at this time. Police are investigating the shooting as gang related.
