Man Arrested in Ben Lomond With Rare Hallucinogenic Drug

BEN LOMOND, Calif- CHP received a call about a reckless driver on Highway 9 at El Solyo Heights Tuesday afternoon.

A CHP officer in the area saw the driver, Steven Romero, and pulled him over. Romero was driving on a suspended licence and the officer could smell marijuana coming from the car, said CHP in a news release.

Officers say they found marijuana, paraphernalia, and dimethyltryptamine, also known as DMT. DMT is a powerful, visual psychedelic which produces short-acting effects when smoked and CHP says it is a rare to find DMt in this area.
