Central Coast News KION/KCBAPolice Identify Homicide Victim As Salinas Resident

SALINAS, Calif- Police have identified the man that was killed in the parking lot of an apartment complex last week as 38 year-old Martin Espinosa Jimenez.

Police found Jimenez in a pool of his own blood last Thursday night. Police tried to get to him but a man and his pit bull would not let them. Police detained the man, who turned out to be a drunk relative, and had to shoot and kill the dog.

Witnesses told police they heard some yelling prior to the shooting but no suspects have been named.
