SANTA CRUZ, Calif- Several agencies throughout Santa Cruz county have all reported run ins with Justin Gorman and Nicholas Beus and say they are a threat to public safety.

Gorman has an extensive criminal history including theft of an on-duty emergency vehicle, narcotic sales, and is currently on felony probation for burglary, said the Santa Cruz CHP. In February he was involved in a high speed chase with CHP, but because CHP knew his criminal history they stopped the chase and just issued a warrant for his arrest.

Beus was last seen walking with Sarah Marko, who was an also an escaped inmate. Marko was arrested but Beus got away, said CHP. Beus is currently on parole for  burglary, vehicle theft, and possession of a controlled substance.  He was supposed to a report to a residential treatment program but failed to show up, said CHP.

Santa Cruz County considers Gorman and Beus to be among the most wanted in the county. Since they have been featured on the Santa Cruz County Most Wanted List, officers found Gorman at the Ocean Gate Motel on February 10. However, he jumped from the second story hotel room, into traffic and escaped, said CHP.

If you see Gorman or Beus, CHP officers urge you to call 911 immediately.
