SALINAS, Calif. - A judge postponed all court proceedings Tuesday for a Salinas man accused of killing his mother in December.
Superior Court Judge Mark Hood said Christopher Sorenson's outbursts in court were good reason to get a second opinion on his mental health.
Christopher Sorenson, 29, yelled at both the judge and his attorney in court Tuesday.
Sorenson, who has a history of outbursts in court, said he is not insane and not guilty.

After the autopsy was conducted, Janet Sorenson's death was ruled a homicide.
The prosecutor on the case told Central Coast News that Sorenson may have died from blunt force trauma and that she had several broken bones.
A search warrant on the Sorenson home revealed 156 pieces of evidence, including bloodied blankets and toothbrushes.
Sorenson will receive his next mental evaluation within the next two weeks.
