MOSS LANDING - A non-profit organization on the Central Coast is teaching people how to rescue injured wildlife animals to help save their lives.
Wild Rescue taught an eight-hour class in Moss Landing on how to successfully and safely capture the animals.
Some of those animals include injured birds, raccoons and cats.
Director Rebecca Dmytryk said she holds the class because she sees a gap in service for animals and in skill levels.
"What happens between the time an animal is found and gets to a wildlife rehabilitator could mean the death or life of that animal," she said.
Wild Rescue teaches six classes at the start of each year up and down the coast.
