Human Bones Found Near Pebble Beach Fairway

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif- The Monterey County Coroner's office investigators are piecing together how a human jawbone and partial skull ended up on Carmel Beach, near the Pebble Beach fairway.

Officials with the sheriff's department say the discovery was made days before the AT&T ProAm tournament began.

Since then, tests have been conducted on the bones to find an identity.

Monterey County sheriff's officials told Central coast News that they have promising leads and hope to have the bones identified by next week.
