MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif- Two local animal shelters say they have rescued so many rabbits in the last two months that they are in desperate need of foster homes. In the last month, over 80 rabbits have come in to local shelters, including 10 rabbits dumped in Salinas Animal Services's night drop kennels on Tuesday.
To find out more about adopting a rabbit, please visit SAS' website at www.SalinasAnimals.com or AFRP's rabbit rescue program, Rescue Rabbits Rock, website at www.rescuerabbitsrock.com. If you would like to temporarily foster a rabbit and truly save a life (or just find out what is needed), please contact Lisa with AFRP at 831-883-1734.
