SALINAS, Calif. -- Salinas police are investigating a report of an attempted kidnapping early Thursday morning.
"We're not too sure if this actually occurred or not, or if it's a false report," said Sgt. Lalo Villegas. "We are still working on it, so I can't release information."
Police spent part of Thursday morning gathering evidence at a home on Kenneth Ave. and E. Laurel Dr. in east Salinas, taking pictures of a Chevrolet SUV parked in a driveway. Multiple officers were on scene through the 5:00 a.m. hour.
The initial call came in to police at about 3:30 Thursday morning, and officers found the alleged victim on Work St. by the Pilot gas station.
