LIVE OAK, Calif- A man is facing two counts of attempted murder after he stabbed his wife and 13-year-old daughter on Valentine's Day, said Santa Cruz County Sheriff's deputies.
Deputies were called out to a trailer park on Portola Drive just before 7 am Tuesday. They told Central Coast News when they got to the trailer park they saw the suspect, Christopher Lindner, trying to strangle a his wife who was covered in blood.
Deputy Pat Dimick tased Linder, saving the woman's life. Lindner stabbed his 13-year-old daughter in the mouth and he stabbed his wife in the face, said Deputy Skalland.
Both victims were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, said deputies.
At this time investigators have not released a motive for this Valentine's Day stabbing.
One neighbor who didn't want to be identified said something could've been prevented, especially after a problem at the family's trailer yesterday, "The paramedics were there yesterday, the fire department arrived, I don't know why they didn't catch the warning signs on that and keep a closer eye on the family. Same family, same trailer, obviously there's issues going on."
The woman also said it's a tight knit community, but nobody really knew linder or his family, "That's one family that pretty much stayed to themselves. Never really socialized with anyone else."
