SALINAS, Calif. - Five juvenile gang members are in custody Monday morning after trying to escape Salinas police in a stolen vehicle Sunday night.

It happened on San Juan Grade Road at Rogge Road around 9:30 p.m.

Someone reported their car had been stolen and police found it with 5 people inside.

Officers tried to stop them, but they sped off. A spike strip was put out, but the teens kept driving. They jumped out of the moving car, but were caught.
