SALINAS, Calif. - Salinas Police arrested a man after they say he crashed a stolen car on Sherwood Drive Saturday afternoon.
Police say a 16-year-old man was driving a stolen 1988 Toyota Camry when he spun out of control and crossed into the southbound lanes of traffic on Natividad Road. He hit a woman driving with a teenager and young child in her car.
Right after the collision, police say the driver fled on foot. They later found him on Granada Avenue. He was booked into juvenile hall for being in possession of a stolen vehicle, being an unlicensed driver, hit and run and probation violation.
