Rain Storm Approaches: Road Crews Are Ready

A winter storm is brewing on the Central Coast.  It's been, for the most part, a dry season so far.

The National Weather Service issued a Wind Advisory. Wind gusts could get as high as 50 miles per hour.

Rain is also in the forecast. Totals are expected anywhere between .5" to 1.5".

Drivers and residents are asked to watch for downed trees and power lines from the gusty winds.

Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito Counties prepare for much of the year for upcoming winter storms.

Maintenance crews in Santa Cruz counties spread out over hundreds of miles of mountain roadways, clearing trees and debris.

Santa Cruz County is still 15 million dollars in debt from last year's spring storms.
