HOLLISTER, Calif. -- Hollister Police are asking for your help in finding a 14-year-old run away girl.
Police say Selena Burr was reported missing on Feb. 2.
Her family believes she took off last week with Chris Wageman, 41, a distant cousin of the family.
"I can't sleep," said Louise Soares, Burr's grandmother. "Her brother and I are just devastated because she's the love of my life. We're close and we've never had problems."
She said Burr told her she was taking off with Wageman, who she said is battling a drug addiction.
"I'm so frightened for my granddaughter. She's innocent," she said. "She told me she's going to try every way to be with him."
Soares was asleep around four in the morning when she says Burr crept out of her house.
She said Burr and Wageman had an intimate and explicit relationship.
"It's a bit unusual so that's part of the reason why we want people's help in finding her," said Sgt. Don Pershall of Hollister Police.
Soares said Burr's parents had drug issues and have been in and out of jail.
She says her troubled past could be to blame for why she chose to leave.
"It's awful," she said. "We're just devastated. We just want her home and safe and let her know I love her and she can get over this and get past this."
Hollister Police believe Burr may be in San Francisco.
