HOLLISTER, Calif. - City of Hollister Public Works Water Department crews are working to shut
off a 12-inch water main that erupted at 10:00 p.m. It has caused major street flooding on 4th Street from Monterey to Line Street. No homes or buildings are threatened. Crews are working to shut down the water and isolate the rupture in the water main.
No residents' water will be affected, but it could affect the Sheriff's Department tonight. This road is expected to be closed until Friday morning. Flooding hasn't seeped into any homes. It is just confined to the street.
