HOLLISTER, CA – Hollister Police are investigating a possible kidnapping that occurred Wednesday night at a local laundromat.
The crime took place at the Granny's Wash and Dry Laundromat on the 200 block of San Benito Street, just before 9:30 p.m.
The female victim told police a man approached her while she was in the laundromat and ordered her to go with him while holding a large knife.
The woman pleaded with the man to not harm her and told the suspect her husband was on his way to pick her up.
The suspect then left on foot, northbound on San Benito Street.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult, 20-25 years old, dark complexion, about 5' 8", wearing a black beanie hat with a multi-color band toward the bottom edge of the beanie. He was unshaven and wearing a black hooded jacket, a multi-color scarf around his neck and he was wearing dark colored pants.
The victim also told police she had seen the man earlier that night driving a small, black car but did not have the model or make of the vehicle.
One person witnessed the crime at the laundromat.
