Central Coast News KION/KCBADeputies Name Boyfriend as Suspect in Death of 14-Year-Old

SALINAS, Calif - The Monterey County Sheriffs Department released the name of the suspect they believe is involved in the deadly shooting of a 14-year-old girl back in November of last year.

Sheriff Deputies say during the course of an investigation into the death of Maria Reyes, the boyfriend of the victim, Manuel Cruz, became a suspect. A warrant in the amount of one million dollars has been issued for his arrest. If you see him, you can call the tip line at 1-888-833-4847.

Cruz is a gang member and also goes by the name "Lil Roquero".

Maria Ambriz-Reyes was found near a field by Old Stage Road back on November 23, 2011 after going missing. She graduated from El Sausel Middle School in June and was a freshman at Alisal this school year.
