NEW YORK- Pfizer Inc. is voluntarily recalling some of its birth control pills. Lo/Ovral®-28 and Norgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol Tablets are the oral contraceptives that are being recalled, said Pfizer.
The recall is due to a packaging error. As a result, the daily regimen for these oral contraceptives may be incorrect and could leave women at risk for unintended pregnancy.
The company advises woman who took the recalled pills to immediately use another form of birth control and call their doctor.
