Salinas, Calif.- Police say a woman attempted to rob two banks over the weekend, but only got away once with cash.

The first attempt happened Friday at the Chase Bank on 800 Alisal Street.

The suspect wearing a large jacket and sunglasses, presented a note to the teller demanding money or there would be a shooting.

The teller wouldn't give the woman any money, so she ran out.

Then on Saturday police say the same suspect gave a note to the teller at the Rabo Bank on North Davis Road.

The note said she had a gun, but no one actually saw a weapon.

This time the woman got away with cash and got into a white 90s model sedan, driven by a male.

Anyone that recognizes the suspect or witnessed either crime is asked to contact the Salinas Police Department at (831) 758-7226 or call an anonymous tip line at the We-Tip Line at 1-800-78-CRIME, or text information to the Text Tip Line with the code "SPD831" to "847411".
