SALINAS, Calif - A 22-year-old Salinas man is behind bars after police say he molested his 7-year-old neighbor.
According to Salinas Police, on January 18th, officers responded to Natividad Medical Center on the report of a possible child molestation. The 7 year-old female victim said on mulitple occasions she was inappropriately touched by her neighbor, Eriberto Regalado, 22. Police say Regalado would touch the victim whenever she came over to his apartment to play video games with his younger relatives.
On Tuesday, police interviewed Regalado and arrested him without incident. He was booked in Monterey County Jail for various child molestation charges.
At this time, it is unknown if there are other victims.
