MORGAN HILL, Calif - A Morgan Hill man is facing several charges after police say he kidnapped and beat his girlfriend unconscious Sunday night.
According to Morgan Hill Police, officers responded to the Morgan Hill Tavern Bar at 11:45 p.m. Sunday night for a report of a kidnapping. According to witnesses, the suspect, Christopher Franco, 21, entered the rear of the bar, and grabbed the victim from the neck and dragged her outside. Witnesses said Franco then punched the victim in the face and pulled her into an awaiting vehicle and fled the scene.
Officers were able to get a description of the suspect and a name of the victim who left her identification card at the bar. Officers went to Franco's home they found the victim unconscious, in a bedroom bleeding from the nose. She was transported to the hospital via ambulance and treated for a fractured nose.
Franco was positively identified by witnesses and arrested. He was later transported to the Santa Clara County Main Jail on charges of Felony Domestic Violence, kidnapping and great bodily harm inflicted during the commission of a felony.
The case is still under investigation.
