Man Stabbed Near Santa Cruz Pharmacy

SANTA CRUZ, Calif - Santa Cruz Police are looking for a suspect who stabbed a man near a CVS Pharmacy Sunday morning.

According to Santa Cruz Police, just before 6:00 a.m. officers responded to a welfare check at the CVS located at 600 Front St.  The found a  46-year-old transient man covered in blood and intoxicated standing at the corner of Front Street and Soquel Avenue.  The victim had a large amount of blood  on his clothes and said he had been stabbed in the palm of his right hand.  He also had a large amount of swelling to the left side of his face. 

The victim described the suspect as a White Male, 30-40 years old, 5'10 and approximately 140 lbs. He said he was stabbed in the hand but that he also slipped and fell – which caused the facial injury. The victim stated he didn't know where the stabbing occurred.

The victim was treated by Santa Cruz City Fire and transported by ambulance to Dominican Hospital.
