MORGAN HILL, Calif.- The Grinch stole Christmas for one Morgan Hill family. Three days before Christmas, they come home to find not only the presents, but one of their family dogs gone.
Christmas has come and gone for the Lancer family and still no miracle. Their 3 year old white and tan colored Chihuahua is missing, stolen along with close to $1,000 in presents from their home.
"It's hard to deal with...I see my daughter and she sees a picture of her dog on her phone and she starts crying," said Chris Lancer.
The Lancer's said there was no sign of forced entry and nothing else was taken besides the gifts and Sharky, they said he wouldn't have run away on his own.
"We don't care about the gifts, my daughters like 'Dad I don't want the gifts I want the dog.' And I'm like were going to try and find him," said Lancer.
The family spent the days leading up to Christmas checking in with area shelters and circulating fliers about Sharky.
Santa Clara County Sheriff investigators were able to get some solid fingerprints, Central Coast News is still trying to get in touch with the Sheriff's office for updates.
