SANTA MARIA - Santa Maria Police and Fire Department officials are on the scene of a narcotics raid that turned deadly Thursday morning.
The raid happened on the 300 block of Agnes Avenue in Santa Maria.
Santa Maria Police Chief Dan Macagni told Your Central Coast News that two officers were wounded in the raid, one shot in the hand and the other in the leg.
Both officers were transported to Marian Medical Center.
The suspect in the raid was fatally shot and another suspect was taken into custody.
The investigation has been handed over to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department.
Agnes Avenue has been closed for the investigation, between Thornburg and Broadway.
