HOLLISTER, Calif- A man who was walking with his two-year-old son Monday afternoon was arrested after he fell through a woman's ceiling.
A deputy who was on patrol noticed a man, who had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest, pushing a child in a stroller down the 1300 block of Sunset Drive. The deputy said the suspect, Kevin Dunn, ran away as he was being placed under arrest. Dunn left his two-year-old son behind, said the deputy.
The deputy, who stayed behind with the child, called for backup to help search for Dunn.
Duputies saw Dunn running along the rooftop of an apartment complex on Caputo Court. As officers walked around the area they heard someone moving around in the crawl space of one of the apartments.
Deputies went to the aparment and the woman inside said that a man had fallen through the ceiling and into her bedroom.
Dunn tried to escape out the window but deputies were waiting for him outside. Deputies say that Dunn tried to fight them but they were able to place him under arrest. He was charged with cruelty to a child, deserting a child under 14, vandalism, burglary, and possesion of a controlled substance.
