LOMPOC, Calif. - Authorities said they arrested a 21-year-old father Monday after his son was taken to the hospital for ingesting marijuana.

Juan Chaidez was booked into jail for felony child endangerment. Police said his 1-year-old son was admitted to Lompoc Hospital after eating marijuana left unsecured by Chaidez in a home.

Officials said the child was lethargic and couldn't stand, but the baby was released after several hours of observation and is said to be in good condition.
